Bidens aurea 'Lemon Queen'

False Te

A much neglected and very decorative plant that deserves to be in every garden. If you enjoy the ethereal beauty of Cosmos but can't be bothered with growing annuals then Bidens is for you.

This tall, wiry-stemmed daisy produces a haze of lemon yellow and white tipped flowers from August until October. The ferny foliage fringes the cloud of delicate flowers adding even more ethereal charm.

This is a star of the late summer border bearing hundreds of neat little flowers reminiscent of a small-flowered cosmos. It will grow on clay and will spread on lighter soils. It has its origins in Chile so leave the top growth on through winter and cut down in spring.

It flowers so profusely that it may exhaust itself after a few years. Very easy to propagate from seed or basal cuttings.
